The Vacu-Stack® chimney cap installs quickly, easily, and securely. Follow applicable state code requirements relative to spark arresters.

Instructions for installing Vacu-Stack® Model VSS on round flues other than air-cooled

STEP 1: FIT INSIDE FLUE.

Vacu-Stack® chimney caps fit inside round metal and masonry flues. Press pipe end of Vacu-Stack® into flue until fit is snug.

STEP 2: APPLY WATERTIGHT SEAL.

Apply thin film of silicone caulking (not furnished, but readily available at local hardware store or home center) to seal joint between Vacu-Stack® and top of chimney.

Instructions for installing Vacu-Stack® model VSS-TDW on round air-cooled flues

The three spacers located on the underside of TDW models maintain ventilation space between bottom of Vacu-Stack® and top of chimney. This is essential for uninterrupted air flow through cooling channels in air cooled chimneys.

An optional adapter is required for Vacu-Stack® installations on square and rectangular chimneys and must be purchased separately. Then follow Steps 1 and 2 above. See adapter installation instructions.
